Leadership Group Limited is recruiting suitable

professionals to fill the following position:

JOB TITLE: PROOF READERS

LOCATION: Lagos

RESPONSIBILITIES

Writing appropriate headlines.

Assist the chief editor in managing the flow of

stories.

Be prepared to write stories.

Editing copy, written by reporters or features

writers, to remove spelling mistakes and

grammatical errors.

Re-writing material so that it flows or reads

better and adheres to the house style.

Checking facts and stories to ensure they are

accurate, adhere to copyright laws, are not

hbellous or go against the publication's policy.

Cropping photos and deciding where to use

them for best effect and writing picture captions.

Proofreading complete pages produced by other

sub-editors using the main basic proofing

symbols.

Ensuring that the right stories appear in the

correct order in a page.

Keeping up to date with sector issues, e.g. by

reading related publications.

REQUIREMENTS

A good degree in Social Science, arts, and

humanities

Applicants must have a good knowledge of the

media industry, especially the print media

A minimum of 3 years post-graduation and

relevant experience in the media industry
